The History
Orissa, also known as Orissa India, is a cultivated strain of the popular Psilocybe cubensis species of hallucinogenic mushrooms. Originating from India, Orissa was originally collected from the wild and prefers to grow in elephant dung, which can result in the production of unusually large mushrooms. However, there is little additional information available about this strain beyond these few characteristics.
Fortunately, much is known about the Psilocybe cubensis species as a whole. Typically, it is a medium-sized mushroom with a light brown cap covered by a partial veil until the gills are ready to release spores.
Because it can grow wherever mammal dung is available for the fungus to feed on, it can vary in appearance, size, colour, and psilocybin content depending on its location. Many cultivated strains, including Orissa, were originally found growing wild, while growers developed others.
It is important to note that there are also some toxic look-alikes to this species, making it not recommended for non-experts to collect and consume wild-grown mushrooms.
Orissa India Mushrooms Effects
It is a physically demanding strain; some prefer it for its heavy body buzz, while others do not. Visuals are often intense.
